The Victron Energy Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V-120A Battery Coupler is the ideal solution for your LiFePO4 batteries. With a maximum current of 120A, it is perfectly suited for use in 12V and 24V systems and complements the VE.Bus BMS as an effective battery switch.

Functions of the Cyrix Battery Coupler

The Cyrix-Li-Load 12/24V-120A is a microprocessor-controlled relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel as soon as one of them reaches a certain voltage value. This indicates that the battery is being charged. If the voltage drops below the float value, the Cyrix disconnects the batteries again. This technology makes it possible to replace isolation diodes and ensures that there is practically no voltage loss.

Operation of the Cyrix-Li-Charge 12/24V 120A

The Cyrix-Li-Charge connects a battery charger with a delay time of 3 seconds under the following conditions:

  • The "Charge Disconnect" output of the VE.Bus BMS is active.
  • It measures 13.7 V (or 27.4 V or 54.8 V) or more at its battery charger connection.
  • It measures 2 V or more at its battery connection.

The Cyrix switches off immediately when its control output reaches the "free floating" state or indicates a cell overvoltage/overtemperature. Should the battery voltage drop below 13.5 V (or 27 V or 54 V), the Cyrix switches off with a delay time of 1 hour. The delay time extends to 10 minutes if after two attempts to reconnect the device, no success is achieved.
