Function of the Cyrix-Li-Ct

The Cyrix-Li-Ct automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them reaches the specified voltage level. This means that the battery is being charged. It disconnects the batteries again when the voltage falls below the maintenance voltage level, indicating that one or both batteries are discharging. This technology ensures minimal voltage loss, so the output voltage from AC generators or battery chargers does not need to be increased.

How does the Cyrix-Li-Ct 12/24V 230A work?

The Cyrix-Li-Ct operates similarly to the Cyrix-Ct. It connects a lead-acid starter battery with a LiFePO4 battery when:

• The output "Charge Disconnect" of the VE.Bus BMS is high.
• It measures 13.4 V (or 26.8 V) or more at its power terminals.

The Cyrix-Ct disconnects when:

• Its control output reaches the "free floating" (open circuit) state.
• A cell overvoltage or cell overtemperature occurs.
• The battery voltage falls below 13.2 V.

A practical Start Assist function allows the relay to be closed for 30 seconds by a short positive pulse. A built-in TVS diode protects against voltage spikes that may occur during sudden disconnection due to cell overvoltage or overtemperature.
