Victron Argodiode 80-2SC 80A 2 Batteries Isolation Diode
Victron Argo 80-2SC Battery Isolator
The Victron Argo 80-2SC battery isolator is the perfect solution to optimize charge distribution from a single power source, such as an alternator, to multiple battery circuits. This special version differs from the Argodiode 80-2AC as it does not have a current-limiting output for the generator connection.
With this battery isolator, you can charge two or even three separate battery circuits without the batteries needing to be connected to each other. This not only simplifies installation but also saves installation costs.
Technical Features

- Maximum Charging Current: 80A
- Compatible with 2 separate batteries or battery banks
- Maximum Alternator Current: 80A
- Minimal voltage loss thanks to modern Shottky diodes:
- At low currents: approx. 0.3 V
- At nominal current: approx. 0.45 V
- Integrated compensation diode for minimal increase in alternator output voltage
By using state-of-the-art Shottky diodes, voltage loss is kept low. This is crucial to ensure a full charge of the batteries and prevent their premature aging. If isolator diodes are connected into the wiring between the alternator and battery without additional measures, a voltage loss can occur that is detrimental to battery life.
