The Victron Battery-Protect BP-48-100 is the ideal solution to protect your battery from a complete discharge. This device disconnects the battery from less important consumers before it reaches a critical state, thus preserving its lifespan. In addition, the BP series features integrated overvoltage protection, which switches off the connected loads in case of overvoltage to prevent damage.

Disconnect And Reconnect Delay
The load is disconnected 90 seconds after alarm activation. If the battery voltage reaches the threshold again within this time (e.g., after starting the engine), the load remains connected. In addition, the load is reactivated 30 seconds after exceeding the reconnect value.
Recommended Disconnect Thresholds
Depending on the battery type, different minimum battery voltages should be observed:
- AGM/Gel Batteries: Recommended disconnect threshold at 11.5V
- Lithium Batteries (LiFePO4): Recommended disconnect threshold at 12.0V
It is advisable to consult the battery manufacturer for the optimal disconnect threshold.
