Technology and Functions

The Cyrix Battery Coupler is a powerful microprocessor-controlled relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them reaches a certain voltage value. If the voltage falls below the float voltage value, the coupler disconnects the batteries again. This eliminates the need for isolation diodes, and voltage loss remains almost zero, meaning that the output voltage of your chargers does not need to be increased.

In a typical setup, the alternator is directly connected to the starter battery. The auxiliary battery, as well as other batteries, are linked to the starter battery via the Cyrix battery coupler. When the Cyrix detects that the starter battery has reached the required voltage, it switches on and enables parallel charging of the other batteries.

The intelligent battery monitoring ensures that switching does not occur unnecessarily often. The Cyrix-ct analyzes voltage trends and only changes its state when the voltage has stabilized over a certain period.
