The current transformer from Victron (MPN CTR110000500) is the ideal extension for the MultiPlus-II and MultiGrid-II series. It enables the implementation of PowerControl and PowerAssist functions and optimizes self-consumption through external current measurement.

PowerControl

With the PowerControl function, you optimize the power supply, especially when the AC current is limited. The MultiPlus-II can deliver a high charging current, which heavily strains the AC and generator supply. Thanks to the adjustable maximum current limit, the device takes into account the current consumption and uses only the available amount of current to charge the batteries.

PowerAssist

The PowerAssist function opens up extended usage possibilities for generators or shore connections. It enables the MultiPlus-II to support an alternative power source that is too weak. During short-term load peaks, insufficient grid or generator power is immediately compensated by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, the then again available energy sources can be used to charge the batteries.
