The Victron Battery-Protect BP-100 is an essential protection device for your batteries. It disconnects the battery from less important consumers before it is completely discharged, to prevent damage and ensure that enough energy remains available for starting your engine. With an integrated overvoltage protection, it protects your battery from possible damage at voltages above 16V or 32V.

Why Is the BP-100 Important?
Most voltage converters or charge controllers have undervoltage protection, which, however, often only intervenes at low values of approximately 10.5V / 21V. With the Victron Battery-Protect, you can set the disconnect threshold higher, which extends the lifespan of your costly batteries.
Selecting the Disconnect Threshold
The minimum battery voltages vary depending on the battery type. For AGM/Gel batteries, we recommend a disconnect threshold of 11.5V, and for Lithium batteries (LiFePO4), one of 12.0V. Always check the battery manufacturer's recommendations for the optimal values.
