The internal structure of the galvanic isolator consists of two diodes connected to each other in a special arrangement. These diodes allow current to flow in both directions, but only when a certain voltage of 1.4 Vdc is exceeded. The isolator is installed directly behind the 230 V connection of your boat, thereby offering optimal protection. If a higher fault current occurs in the AC circuit, the diodes allow the current to pass through, and a residual current device interrupts the circuit to ensure safety.
