Victron Battery-Protect BP-65
The Victron Battery-Protect BP-65 is the ideal solution to protect your battery from a complete discharge. It disconnects less important consumers before the battery is damaged or no longer has enough energy to start the engine. Furthermore, the BP series features overvoltage protection, which switches off the load at 16V or 32V battery voltage, thus preventing damage.
Compatibility
The BP-65 supports various battery types, including AGM, lead-acid, gel, and lithium. Please note: An inverter must not be connected to the Victron Battery-Protect BP-65!
Flexibility in Shutdown Voltage
With six adjustable shutdown thresholds, the Battery-Protect adapts to your requirements:
Shutdown Thresholds
- 10.5V / 21V
- 10V / 20V
- 9.5V / 19V
- 11.25V / 22.5V
- 11.5V / 23V
- 11.8V / 23.6V
Each shutdown threshold can be combined with different re-engagement thresholds to maximize the lifespan of your costly batteries.
Recommended Settings
To avoid damage, we recommend the following shutdown voltages:
- AGM/Gel Batteries: 11.5V
- Lithium Batteries (LiFePO4): 12.0V
Always consult the battery manufacturer for the optimal shutdown thresholds for your specific battery.
