The Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter from Victron Energy (MPN ORI303100000) is the ideal solution for charging a 12V/24V service battery in vehicles with an intelligent alternator. These alternators, used in modern Euro 5 and 6 engines, do not always provide the correct charging current. With this DC-DC converter, you ensure that your auxiliary battery is charged correctly by eliminating high and low voltages.

Intelligent Detection

An integrated system prevents deep discharge of the starter battery by detecting when the engine is running. Alternatively, the converter can also be activated via a programmable input (D+, CANbus, or (+)15 connection).

User-Friendly Programming

The converter can be easily programmed via a user-friendly PC application (a USB cable Type A to Type B is required). You can set it to charge either a 12V or a 24V auxiliary battery using a 12V or 24V alternator or a starter battery.

Current Limitation

The output current is determined by the following factors:

• The setting of the maximum charging current


• The setting of the maximum input current


• The limitation of the maximum operating temperature of the converter
