Functionality Of The Cyrix-Li-Ct

The Cyrix-Li-Ct is a high-performance, microprocessor-controlled relay that automatically connects batteries when one of them reaches a certain voltage value. This indicates that the battery is being charged. However, if the voltage falls below the float value, the battery coupler disconnects the batteries again to prevent discharge. It is an excellent alternative to isolation diodes, as it causes virtually no voltage loss, which means that the output voltage of your generators or chargers does not have to be increased.

How The Cyrix-Li-Ct 12/24V 120A Works

The functionality of the Cyrix-Li-Ct corresponds to that of the Cyrix-Ct. It connects a lead-acid starter battery with a LiFePO4 battery under the following conditions:

• When the "Charge Disconnect" output of the VE.Bus BMS is high.
• When it measures 13.4 V (or 26.8 V) or more at its terminals.

The Cyrix-Ct switches off immediately when:

• The control output reaches the "free floating" state (open circuit).
• A cell overvoltage or cell overtemperature is indicated.
• The battery voltage falls below 13.2 V.

Start Assist Function

A short positive pulse activates the relay for 30 seconds. An integrated TVS diode protects against voltage spikes that can occur when the Cyrix switches off due to a cell overvoltage or overtemperature. The forced parallel connection (Start-Assist) is only available in conjunction with a Victron VE.Bus BMS.
