Although LiFePO4 batteries are more expensive to purchase than AGM or GEL batteries, the higher costs are often offset by their longer lifespan of up to 5000 cycles. This surpasses the lifespan of even the best lead-acid batteries by a significant margin. Additionally, you save both space and weight, as the LiFePO4 12.8/100 is 70% lighter. The energy utilization efficiency of 92% greatly exceeds the 80% of lead-acid batteries, which is particularly important for off-grid solar and wind power systems.

The LiFePO4 Smart batteries from Victron are highly versatile and can be used in almost all applications. They are especially advantageous in mobile applications, as they are easier to charge than traditional lead-acid batteries. This technology has also established itself in stationary applications.

Parallel and Series Connection

Thanks to the integrated cell balancing and cell monitoring function, up to 10 batteries can be connected in parallel and up to 4 blocks in series, resulting in a total of up to 3000Ah at 48V. This allows for a maximum storable nominal energy of around 154,000 Wh.

Smart Handling with Bluetooth

The integrated Bluetooth function allows for monitoring of cell voltages, temperatures, and alarm status. This enables you to detect potential issues such as cell imbalance early on.

Important Note

The use of an additional BMS is mandatory to interrupt the load when the voltage of a battery cell falls below 2.5V or to stop the charging process when the voltage rises above 4.2V. The system must also be turned off if the cell temperature exceeds 50°C. For this purpose, the BMS 12/200 or the VE.Bus BMS are available to you.
