The Victron Battery-Protect BP-220 is the ideal solution to protect your battery from a complete discharge. This intelligent device disconnects the battery from less important consumers before the voltage becomes critical. This way, you avoid damage and ensure that enough energy is available for the engine start.
Overview Of The Functions
- Protection from undervoltage for AGM, Lead-Acid, Gel and Lithium batteries
- Overvoltage protection, which disconnects the load at 16V or 32V battery voltage
- Six adjustable disconnect thresholds for maximum flexibility
Adjustable Disconnect Thresholds
The Battery-Protect offers you the possibility to individually adjust the disconnect thresholds. The following values are selectable:
- 10,5V / 21V
- 10V / 20V
- 9,5V / 19V
- 11,25V / 22,5V
- 11,5V / 23V
- 11,8V / 23,6V
By adjusting the disconnect threshold, you can extend the lifespan of your batteries, as conventional voltage converters often only intervene at lower values.
Recommended Settings By Battery Type
Depending on the battery type, different minimum battery voltages should be observed:
- AGM/Gel Batteries: 11,5V
- Lithium Batteries (LiFePO4): 12,0V
