The SmartShunt 300A from Victron Energy is an innovative all-in-one battery monitor that does not require its own display. Instead, it uses the VictronConnect App on your smartphone or tablet as a display. This gives you access at any time to important information such as the state of charge, the remaining runtime, and historical data.

Versatile Connection Options

The SmartShunt can be connected via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App. Alternatively, it can also be connected to a GX device such as the Cerbo-GX or the Color Control GX to read out information via a VE.Direct cable. This makes it the ideal choice for systems that require battery monitoring but desire less wiring and clutter.

Why Battery Monitoring?

Batteries are indispensable in many applications as they store energy for future use. However, the actual amount of energy stored cannot be read directly from the battery. Factors such as overcharging or undercharging, deep discharge, and high ambient temperatures can significantly shorten the battery's lifespan. The VictronConnect App

To set up and monitor the SmartShunt, the VictronConnect App is essential. Here are the available connection options:

  • Apple iOS (USB is not supported, only Bluetooth)

  • Windows (Bluetooth is not supported, only USB)
