The VOTRONIC LCD Battery Monitor 400 S (MPN 1269) sets new standards in accuracy and user-friendliness. Equipped with an innovative Smart Measurement Shunt, this device offers improved measurement accuracy and reduced self-consumption compared to its predecessor.

Key Features

The LCD Battery Monitor S is microprocessor-controlled and measures, calculates, and displays the following values:

Battery Voltage

Battery voltage of the onboard battery from 7 to 32 V with an internal measurement resolution of 0.1 V. Ideal for monitoring battery behavior and for functional control of chargers, solar systems, and alternators.

Battery Current

Battery current (charging/discharging) from +/- 0 to max. +/- 1800 A with an internal measurement resolution of 0.1 A. Discharge currents are indicated by a “–” sign, while charge currents are indicated by the “Charge” sign.

Battery Capacity

Display of remaining charge from 0 Ah / 0% (empty) to the nominal capacity of max. 2000 Ah / 100% (full).

Second Battery Full Measurement

Measurement of the battery voltage of a second battery (e.g., starter battery) also from 7 to 32 V.

User-Friendly Display

The user-friendly, white-lit LCD display is easy to read from a distance and in poor lighting conditions. All relevant information is available at the push of a button, including the current battery voltage, battery current, and remaining capacity.

Monitoring and Control Features

The LCD Battery Monitor S includes a freely programmable switching output for control, monitoring, and warning purposes. This allows for the automatic disconnection of consumers at low charge levels. Simple manual override is also possible.

Important Information on the Smart Shunt

The selection of the appropriate Smart Shunt (100 S, 200 S, or 400 S) is based on the maximum continuous load from the consumers (A) and not on the total battery capacity (Ah). Please note that the devices are calibrated to the included measurement shunts and cannot be operated with other measurement shunts.

Compatibility and Installation

The device integrates visually and mechanically into the VOTRONIC modular system. With a height of 85 mm and a low installation depth of only 22 mm, it can be mounted in almost any location.
